    /drivers/net/sundance.ko

I am missing the sundance.ko driver from /lib/modules/kernel/drivers/net. Is it possible
to copy a version from another similar distro and paste into the net folder and get it to
work? So far I have tried it but I must be missing a step. Maybe,
#insmod /lib/modules/kernel/drivers/net/sundance.ko. I also tried downloading the driver
from D-link's website and unpacking but it won't compile for some reason.

I could be wrong, so don't quote me on this, but arn't kernel drivers specific to the kernel version.

Maybe you could download a vanilla kernel (or one for your distro) source and compile the new kernel specifiying that net module. Sounds like whoever built that kernel may have disabled that particular driver.
