Is there such thing as a console to PC monitor adapter?
I want to play my PS2 or Xbox on my PC monitor, they both have scart leads.
Any way to do this?

The SCART, AFAIK, is only for PAL or NTSC TV connection. Look for something else, like a VGA or DVI output.
Actually this is exactly what I was wondering for the XBOX 360 and Playstation 3. They advertise their superb video cards, plus that they will be more capable of making the most of them than a Windows PC; and that PC is not the best plattform for gaming, etc.
And all these superior hardware abilities, will be used for a PAL or NTSC display, that are having that low resolutions? Ahahahahahahaha, let me laugh. I'm playing games at 1600x1200 or even 2048x1536.
you can play ps2 or xbox on your monitor with a simple TV card using S-Video in. orion, these consoles don't have vga or dvi outputs.
also, scart is not for NTSC. we don't have scart here in the US.
the xbox360 and ps3 operate at HDTV resolutions, 1280*720 progressive or 1920*1080 interlaced. i think these consoles MIGHT have a HDMI output along with progressive component and composite/svideo (if you don't have a HDTV).

There are scart <---> Composite/S-Video convertors. Provided that your video card has a video in. There will be no difference in image quality, though, as it will display the same resolution as a TV would. So, if you don't have a TV and need to use the PC monitor, then you can try this; but if you hope for better IQ, it won't be the case.Originally Posted by neo1716
