    User Action
If an error report was generated for this error, you might be able to obtain more information about the error by sending the report to Microsoft for analysis.

    What to expect

Microsoft actively analyzes all error reports and prioritizes them based on the number of customers affected by the error signature contained in the report. When a report is submitted, Microsoft will try to determine the cause of the error, categorize it according to the type of issue encountered, and send you relevant information when such information is available. However, because error reports do not always contain enough information to positively identify the source of the issue, Microsoft may need to collect a number of similar reports from other customers before a pattern is discovered. Although Microsoft might not be able to provide a solution for your particular error at this time, all information submitted is used to further improve the quality and reliability of our products.

I would test your memory with Memtest, Then test your hard drive, here are the Seatools. Might be an intermittent hard dive error before a failure, so I'd do some backups.

Yes that is a good way to get the information off of the old drive.

Not sure I understand the question on the last line. What would happen to that old copy of Windows? Well if there is sensitive information on it, I guess you could "zero" the drive before you sent it off for RMA service. There should be that option in the Seatools package. If no sensitive information, I guess you don't worry about it. Is that what you are asking?

Edit: If it has been over a year and you cannot RMA to the retailer, here is Seagate's contact page: http://www.seagate.com/contact/

I ran the online seatools system check [does this work ok with amd based ststems]

    here are results

    Results for volume C: (NTFS)

    Volume Label: Windows
    Volume Size: 41.94 GB
Some files on the volume are open. This may effect the accuracy of the file system check and result in false errors.

The file system contains errors that need to be repaired.

    Results for volume E: (NTFS)

    Volume Label: General
    Volume Size: 78.86 GB
Some files on the volume are open. This may effect the accuracy of the file system check and result in false errors.

The file system was checked and no problems were found.

    Results for volume F: (NTFS)

    Volume Label: Music
    Volume Size: 62.92 GB
The file system contains errors that need to be repaired.

    Results for volume G: (NTFS)

    Volume Label: Games
    Volume Size: 66.34 GB
The file system was checked and no problems were found.

How can I repair these systems

    here is the

SeaTools Online 90 Second Surface Scan
Started at 6:17:35 PM on 9/26/2005.

Scanning drive: NVIDIA nForce4 Serial ATA Controller : ST3250823AS
    Serial Number: 3ND08C9B 3ND08C9B
    Capacity: 250.06 GB
Scan complete. No errors were found.

And here is Drive self test

    Run: 26/10/2005 18:21:05

    NVIDIA nForce4 Serial ATA Controller : ST3250823AS
    Model: ST3250823AS
    Serial Number: 3ND08C9B 3ND08C9B
    Capacity: 250.06 GB
Test result: Self-test routine completed without error.

Does this mean my hard drive is ok

    Re: Pc rebooting [ER_KRNLCRASH_LOG]

I don't know why the make of the processor would make a difference as to whether the online scan would work or not. It is just drives and ATA, ATAPI and stuff.

I would assume that all of the drives that have open files have those because Windows is running. I don't think you can really run drive diagnostics in Windows. But I guess the online scan has to.

I have never used Seatools, maybe someone else has. You really might get better help with this in the Storage Forum, I am going to copy this thread over there.

Not finding an error on the 250 drive is good. Then again it might be an intermittent error.

Is your copy of Windows fully updated?

If you don't get it fixed in the Storage Forum nor here, maybe try Windows.

Ok this is how i solved with out anything drastic measures..

    go to Computer management
select Disk management right click Main hard disk, properties rename the drive to anything i.e Britz Main drive...

    Then close all windows

make sure u have 15% of ur hard disk free of space i.e. i have a 38GB raptor drive and need 10GB+ free for all my hardware drivers to work correctly.

    this should help.. good luck

P.s. BF2 is a buggy EA game i stoped playing it cause of hackers and too many bugs which seem to happen more after each patch that EA release.
