Re: Game of the month - November 2006 - Battlefield 2142

Yah, sorry about every server crashing that you guys joined that I was in. Guess thats just my luck.....And to lenny, about the scoring system, I'm pretty sure that it is quite similar to regular bf2, only a majority of the points don't show up during the round. If you look at the first screen after the round ends that shows your rank and any awards you earned during a round, it will say something like career points, and thats how many points actually go into your global score for the round. But there definitely are some major changes.

In BF2 I always thought the sum of all your in-game scores = your total global score. In BF2142 your in-game score is something less than your 'career' score or whatever it's called. Like I played 2 matches and got a total of 25 points in game (bad I know) but my total score is 73/80. I think you bonus points for different things as well as any awards you get.

you get points for all the ribbons you get. also if you registered for the bf2 veterans program you got 40 pts right away.

In BF2142...there is a hit indicator when you shoot at an enemy, the big white circle that surrounds your crosshair correct? my question though is...what does it mean when you get only an upper-half circle or lower-half circle and how is it different from a full circle??

Excerpts from one of the BF2142 buyer reviews at pricegrabber.com:
The Plot is kind of retarted. Since everyone is fighting for food, it would seem more logical to build some green houses than wage massive warfare on really big hightech battleships.
