The Intel quad (Q6600) doesn't really require a mod - it OC's just fine on regular P965 boards much like a regular C2D. You can even turn the multiplier down to get max fsb

Yes we are Scruff! Now I have to start selling off some of the lower end crunchers. Just so happens last night I got my first call. One of the oldest P-4 rigs will be going out next week.

Yeah, Jay, the BSEL Mod is needed because there are no single or double Xeon boards with any overclocking options. The 2 965 chpset boards I use or have coming are almost too full with them! Although it took the guys a long time to figure this mod out, it takes just moments to do with (sober) steady hands. Damn, those pins are tiny.

By doing this mod, the B's increased processing power by 3.750Ghz

He was wondering if the mod would apply to the 5100 series of CPU's and you were wondering about the Socket 775's afaik!

And you are right....I haven't taken the time to quantify the total power in awhile as it seems to pretty well be in flux.
