    i think with today's powerful processors and very large system memory, the old adage to not go to low with the stripe if u r doing heavy file transfers is a non-event in today's puter world.

    Don't. I still get sawtooth results in HD TACH and I have a 16K stripe. I might try a 32K stripe at some point, but my Atto benchmarks are in the 200+mb/sec range so I don't really care

    impossible for ATTO to get 200 mb/sec...u must mean HDtach burst rate

    u must have them as a dynamic drive not as a primary partition....

    Oh I'm sorry..I forgot to mention that I have 3 of them in RAID 0. Heh, that kind of makes a difference; and they're on a primary partition.
