If you would be willing, I'd like everyone to read the latest post in my blog:

    http://www.pcper.com/weblog.php

In it I ask for your feedback on a large array of points about PC Perspective, and hopefully we can get some good feedback here that will PCP grow.

    Thanks for reading!

    Ryan,

1)Here is a power supply idea:

    http://forums.pcper.com/showthread.php?t=404405

2)One other point is when will you get AMD back on board. I miss those reviews. Do you have any expectations?

3)I've noticed hardocp doing prebuilt reviews. They do a nice job and show no quarter. Might bring a crowd that doesn't normally come to the site.

    Thanks for a good site!

Re: I want your feedback on ALL of PC Perspective

i have a suggestion... speed up the site a bit.

Im really only here for the forums, because im not a huge computer techy.. but the website is awfully slow for me.

It took 5.438 seconds to load this thread, and its probably one of the fastest times i have seen.

Of the many things i have learned, is people HATE waiting. Usually if the website takes 15 seconds to load, the person is already off of it browsing a different site.

    Thanks

    EDIT**

It took 59.696 seconds to load my last post after i hit the reply button.

nor have i. not unless the ads server is acting up...or the host is having troubles (which is very rare).

and there is more to load on each page for mods, supers, and admins.

I think the problem may lie on your end. as I rarely ever have any problems with things loading here.

I like the power supply reviews best. You guys should do more of them, but I think what undersea linked might help if you want a few things to consider. Still, you guys have a method of doing it besides just looking at the specs and going: "Looks good to me...ooh, shiny cover." that many sites seem to do with power supply reviews.

The summary idea is unique, but when I link reviews, I go to the start of the full review, not the summary. I'm kinda worried that some users won't see the link to hit up the full review and just think it's a cheap 1-pager.

Ads, Ads, Ads. For some odd reason, all of those ads located to the left and top of each page do not load for me, they time out after some time. (The page you are trying to reach cannot be displayed blah blah blah).

I figured it would be because of where I work, but they don't show for me at the house either.

i honostly think it is the ads.

Because sometimes it seems the page is loaded, but the ads havent.

It took 5.568 seconds to load this page.

Also, can you fix that "forum jump" problem where it jumps around 50 times after the page is reloaded

You using Firefox Vic? I know you are on cable....fast cable so I wonder. You have adblock running? Do you have trouble with forum jump clicks?

there is nothing we can do about the snapping. it is in vBs code and how it deals with anchors. i posted on vb.com about this back when we upgraded to 3.0.0 gold.

you will just have to wait for the page to fully load before you try to scroll...or just deal with it. dont mean to sound rude about it...but there is nothing we can do.

The best "tricks" I can suggest to Vic....assumming he uses Firefox. Dont bother with the forum jump deal. Go to top of page and move from there. Also like Wise has suggested.....let stuff load before you confuse the deal with another request.
Bear in mind....Im not defending anything....just how I workaround some [very few] issues.
