    Building new system advice

    runnin dfi nfrce 3 939 mobo 4000 claw hammer 2 gigs of xms corsair 6800 ultra agp ...just got pay over 6 months option at new egg ... goin pcix id like some recomendations on a 7800 vid card a nforce motherboard ...thanks great site great im thinking between these 2 mobos DFI LANPARTY UT nF4 Ultra-D Socket 939 or ASUS A8N-SLI Premium Socket 939 and this vid card

    BFG Tech Geforce 7800GTX 256MB

    any tips or hints ?espcially the mother boards? thanks

    to me either bfg or evga are the obvious vid choices. as far as the mobo i can't reccomend what i don't have first hand knowledge of. gl

    As far as the motherboard goes if you want a simple setup go with the Asus if you want speed but are willing to monkey around with your setup then go for the DFI. I only have experience with DFI and the Asock 939 Dual Sata 2 boards but the Asrock was way easier to setup out of the box and overclocks very very well.

    I've not heard much about the eVGA nF4 mobos (OC options, etc), other than they carry a lifetime (?) warranty. That might be another option to look into...

    The eVGAs are getting some good reviews, there are a few mentions of the in the threads here and for the most part folks seem fairly happy.
