    Read it again very very carefully. They are only denying the phase out of the server/oem opterons. NO mention is given on the retail. They are in fact no longer going to sell them in retail.

    However, I'm sure there will be some gray market leak into the retail via OEMs that have too many of them and float them out there. BUT, apparently they have all sworn on their mother's grave to AMD that they will not do this.

    What that means? No more Opt's in the retail chain for people to buy up instead of the more expensive A64's with less cache.

    If you can find one, buy it, but anyone saying they are "out of stock" and that they are going to be "in stock" soon, are not being honest and truthful with you. The run is over.
