Have you used that same memory and that same CPU on a different board with different results?

Reason I ask, is that in general, with A64, because the memory controller is on the CPU, so the interaction and overclocking results tend to be between the CPU and the memory, that's it. Just curious, as it would be interesting to hear of results on command rate that were shown to be due to the motherboard.

Do you guys realize that this thread was about volt modding the Asus A8R-MVP motherboard so you could get more volts to the CPU for overclocking..?

I sure wish someone who had info on this would post.

For me it is running very stable at 300 X 9 for my 3000+. Peeps have got to learn to be patient to get those extra volts. Comparing this to many boards in the past that are rushed to the consumer I would say it was a fair job from Asus (remember the A7V fiasco - never forgot that one).

    Re: A8R-MVP CPU Volt Mod.....

    Hey guys.......

Am not sure I will be able to get to work on the volt mod this weekend but I will try. I have a number of things I have to get done around the house.
On the volt mod; the biggest headache for me is going to be whether to try to do it while the M/B is in the tower or to pull everything off & out & work on the board with nothing on it.
I have everything water cooled in my system. It's a chore to take it all off & hook it all back up. I think I can do it while everything is in the case.
But, probably the best way to go is to pull it all out.
Either way, I'll take some pics & post em.
