    Best Kit For Me?

Well, I've had enough with the noise of my new computer. I have 5 fans + 3 in the PSU. I swear it's like a plane ready to take off. Sad part is, my temps are still relatively high for all those fans.

To see my system specs, please look at my profile.

I'm looking for an easy to install kit (my budget it $200, and $350 if I REALLY need to) that will cool my processor and video card at the least. Please keep in mind that this will be my first time installing liquid cooling, so I'm a little hesitant with this, so easy installation and good documentation is a must. I was looking at this as it has good reviews and seems simple enough to install, but it's $60 more to add a block for my video card.

Also, I kind of like the look of having the reservoir, fans, and raditor ontop of my case (for further clarification, please see this). This is not required, but a plus.

I'm hoping you guys can point me in the right direction. Feel free to ask me questions that might help you determine what's best for me.

In user CP, under "edit options", go to the very bottom and click "yes" on "display your system specs".

I was thinking about that, but I'd rather stick with a kit so I know I can't go wrong as far as matching up compents, and just for that fact that's it's my first time ever doing liquid cooling

actually is fairly simple to do up a watercooling.

is either messy or neat, thats the harder issue to resolve.

    anyway basically you need to

    1) hose clamp every connection to ensure leak free.
    2) get the correct tubing size, don't mix and match tubing size.
    3) have fun

and i feel, get whatever fan you want, you can even use back your existing 120mm fans, just get a fan controller and the noise : power issue is solved. just a flick of a switch, you fan goes from 12v to 5v

John C, I appreciate the offer/heads up about your selling, but I don't want to buy right away, probably within the next couple of weeks. And like I said, I would like to stay with a kit if at all possible.

See, I would of messed up already, I thought you weren't suppose to clamp anything and I thought mixing of tubing was nessescary :-p But in all serious, I don't know what all I need to build a watercooled rig. I know I need a pump (what kind of pump beats me), tubing, CPU and GPU water block, radiator, reserivor, fan, some clamps. I guess I will ask my best friend Google.

But I still would very much like a kit, so if you recommend any more, let me know. Also, any thoughts about the one I mentioned in my first post?

who told you clamping is not important? it prevents leaks, from my experience.

anyway im using roughly the same set up as the one you linked.

the onli difference is that my pump is a cheap aquarium submers. pump, basically the swiftech 6002 doesn't require a pump that has high pressure head, a moderate/low pressure head is enough, and it needs flowrate, my pump is rated at 1200L/hr, my temperature is hovering at about 5-10 degrees C higher than my room.

i have a 0.4amp fan blowing on my rad(very weak) and im running at winchester 3000+ default.

erhm why mix tubing? if all your parts is having 12mm/16mm ID/OD, theres no need to mix tubing of different ID/OD.

    Re: Best Kit For Me?

The Corsair kit you are looking at is great for a beginner....it will allow you to add a GPU or chipset cooler but it is rather a low end system as far as performance. The NEO 4 board you are using would benifit from a watercooled chipset and I don't think the Corsair's pump is up to the task. If you were to use this kit, I think you would find yourself soon enough doing a lot of modifications soon enough. If you understand that....go ahead and 'get your feet wet' and welcome to watercooling!!
