Considering getting a new case - suggestions?

I have been quite happy with my Lian Li case, but am considering replacing it. I would like one that has a side window, 120mm fans, and front USB/FireWire ports. I like aluminum, too, and prefer not having a front door - ready access to drives is a plus. I have been looking at this one: http://aspireusa.net/product.php?pid...2d202c056928ce but know nothing about Aspire cases. It does have a front door, but I am hoping it is removable. Any comments about this brand? Better choices??

After looking at all the different photos offered, I'd say keep looking as that case would require allot of work to get it to cool like your Lian Li.

Outside of Lian Li most of the real good cases are coming with doors, so you'll have to really look hard.

PowerHungry - Thank you for the response; I will skip the Aspire! What cases do you recommend? If I have to get one with a door, I will. Good cooling/airflow is important. I don't overclock, but still want to keep all of the system components relatively cool. I will be upgrading my system - new motherboard, CPU, 7800GT video card, new PSU - so it seemed that this would be a good time to change cases, too. I have had the Lian Li for quite a few years now and am ready for a change.

There is nothing better than a Lian-Li IMO...

Consider the PC-V1000 from Performance PC's... great looking and incredibly cool.

And it fits your budget!! The quad 120 mm fans solve most heat problems, no door and a window!!

The Lian Li Pc-V1000 is also a good case but again modification is necessary, but the guys at www.performance-pcs.com are the best at it.

The quad-120mm fan Lian-Li mod looks like it might be the one! I will check into it further tomorrow.

Can't go wrong with Lian Li but if you really want to look at others then i will suggest the coolermaster 531, It has good air flow with a 120mm fan in the rear and room for a 120 in the front for the hdd's. I just built 2 machines with these case's and found them very quiet.

Silverstone TJ06 if u want maximum air cooling in a beautiful case, make sure your PS & IDE cabling is fairly long....The mobo is inverted for LOW LOW cpu temps, even with a $15 hsf.

That case has a clear front door. Look at the last photo in the 2nd row.

I did consider the Coolermaster cases, but, stick in the mud that I am, I ordered the Lian Li case from Performance-Pcs this morning. This will be my 3rd Lian Li case. PowerHungry has never steered me wrong before, and I really like Lian Li cases, obviously. Having four 120mm fans in the case should give it excellent cooling, all reviews (that I have read) are pretty enthusiastic about the build quality, etc.

I know the Aspire has a door on it; I mentioned in my original post about the case that I was hoping to be able to remove it. Doesn't matter now - after PowerHungry said that proper cooling with that case would be a problem, I crossed it off my list.

The Silverstone case you mentioned, Rivet, really does look nice and appears to have great cooling - ducted cooling, even. But, I had already ordered my Lian Li case before seeing your post. Maybe next time!

I expect to be very happy with my modded Lian Li case. I am very much looking forward to building my new system.
