XP 64bit editon nvidia driver installation problem

I'm having problems getting the latest nvidia drivers for my card installed. I DL'd the newest drivers 81.95 for XP 64bit and I get this error:

"The Nvidia setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware. Setup will now exit."

I am running an eVGA 7900GT PCIe card on a Asus A8N32-SLI. I was able to install the driver that shipped with the video card though, but it is an older driver. Anyone have any ideas what the problem could be? I have only 1 card so I'm not even doing SLI yet.

81.95?The latest are 81.98 and even those were out before the 7900xx hit the market so i dunno.They install ok been using them for months with a 7800gtx..

Opps, typo. I meant 81.98, but even the 81.95 driver did not install either.

That sucks.Nvidia is falling behind on xp64 drivers..

These are the latest GPU drivers from nvidia, including 7900series support......

I stand corrected but..they are nowhere on the nvidia site including beta drivers section.I am confused they say whql certified but found here only?http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=1355

Wow, so Nvidia's site has older drivers on it? I looked at the packaged drivers and they where 83.xx so they where newer then what Nvidia had on there site. So, if Nvidia is not keeping up with drivers on their site, where can we go and look for the latest drivers?
