I'm pretty sure this is a desktop. (it comes with an LCD, IE its not attached).

As for the deal... I would love to see someone try to setup a system with similar specs and a legit copy of windows for anywhere close to that price. A 17" LCD alone costs $200, and windows is at least $80. Essentially the hardware in the systems costs $120. For anyone whose folks are in need of an office internet machine, this is a total steal. I just bought something similar from dell and I wish this deal would've been there before I ordered. My grandma is already loving her new setup.
