    Question DoS.Generic.SYNFlood Network Attack?

OK, WTF is this and why did Kaspersky give me a message that a Network Attack was successfully stopped like around 500-700 times ...........yes, I clicked the message off this many times. It happened after a search in a music downloading program for "Zero". I guess this was the wrong search to do.

Just did a search for that on Google and no English language links came up at all.

    Re: DoS.Generic.SYNFlood Network Attack?

I didn't search with the quotes, I was just showing what I searched for. My brother called me up this afternoon and said Windows Updates should take care of this. I have no idea which update will do it, but I did updates tonight. Hopefully, that's the last I see of that sh*t.

Just for the record, this happened again in a music downloading program with Kaspersky running. Apparently, when a bunch of entries flood the computer Kaspersky must think it is an attack or at least treats it as such.

Check to see if your peering app allows your host to be used as a distributed search engine, that would start a series of sync connections.

I don't see anything in the settings for this. Of course, they could not be telling you this. I may have to check their forums.
