Yes. I'm already sold on PhysX, just waiting for it to come out and then I'll steal one cause I can't afford it.

I played Cellfactor, too and it was just fun flinging around the pipes to people and see their blood gush out. It was cool and the card has potential, its just that we probably won't see a lot of games use the card. Even Cell Factor uses like 10% of the processing power the PPU has.

So that's the driver without the card?
I installed and played through the demo without the driver.

That is going to suck some serious resources in software.
Notice below that mem usage is not to bad but CPU is at 100% without the driver.

Yeah, in software mode it sucks down cpu cycles like an escalade sucks gas.

Hopefully prices will fall to affordable levels with time. I'd probably be willing to pay $100 or so for one. This has great potential if its executed well in new games.

Just to let you know, the CPU usage even with an AGEIA PhysX card is pretty high; not much change from what you saw IAGD.

    Really?

Let see if I understand this though.
If I put the driver in I get the "effects" via software?
(Picking up full game next day or so.)

    Re: AGEIA PhysX in GRAW

    No, that is not correct.

GRAW uses the PhysX (used to be Novodex) physics API in the game. That means all the physics in it run on that software, now owned by AGEIA. You have to have the AGEIA PhysX hardware in order to get the enhanced physics simulations in GRAW -- installing just the driver will not enable it.

The CPU usage you are seeing is just the demanding code that is GRAW game play, both AI and physics.

    Re: AGEIA PhysX in GRAW

I read some reviews of GRAW over at Hard forum and people said it runs like Sh*t on decent systems. Lots of bugs and crashes.

    Thanks for clearing that up.
