    san diego 3700+ -> e4 or e6 ?

    I searched the forumns and read some other reviews but still seemed a bit muddled as to whether e4 or e6 is preferred (for san diego 3700+).

    Has there been much of a conclusion as to which is preferred either at stock speed or up to 20% overclocked (I think both will reach 2.6ghz without much effort and stock heat sink.

    Thanks,
    You

    The E4 core is used on the FX-57 and single core Opterons. So i guess that's the one you'd want.

    I see a lot of "E" cores advertised online. Anyone have a supplier that can gurantee a "E4" core? I've had my current 3500 at 3750Mhz for quite some time now. Looking to do an upgrade.. the E4 chip looks like a good candidate for my Vaporchill..

    As far as I know they are all e cores. The choice is e6 or e4. Newegg has both and has them described (you pick which one). I don't know if they guarantee they will send you the right one but i ordered one thursday - received it friday and it was e4 (as selected).

    Really weird - went with 3 day ups shipping - placed the order around 11am - it shipped by 1pm and viola i had it the next day
