Mic broke on Sennheiser headphones I was using. Ran over it accidentally with the chair. Got Logitech Clearchat Comfort USB to replace.

    Re: Recent Purchases

bid a small side job installing some pre-hung doors and while pricing out some doors at menards i found myself mysteriously in the tool section eyeing a compressor + 2 tool combo, decided to see what home depot and lowes had and found a better deal with a compressor, + 3 tools

    it's a bostitch 6 gallon pancake, 18ga brad nailer, 18ga crown stapler and a 16ga finish nailer

the side job will pay for about half of the combo :\ at least now i have the finish tools i need for future work!

    Re: Recent Purchases

UPS finally showed and our two netbooks are now SSD-ized. The are noticeably faster though still quite throttled by their CPUs of course. Bootup is very, very fast compared to normal.

All in all it was worth it to breathe new life into these netbooks. But that wasn't the only idea: we really wanted solid state systems that could take a shock. We like to carry them around quite a bit and travel with them so the occasional drop happens. Screens are always at risk, but at least now the data is safer.

Did you do a full re-install or a clone? I keep hearing about having to align sectors.

Actually a restore from our Windows Home Server. Also, since the netbook doesn't support AHCI, converting to that is not an issue either.
