I bought the TV because I knew I would enjoy not to keep up with anyone.

My Rigs - My Upgrade History - My Games

yesterday i picked up a viewsonic vx 2025 ws monitor, x850xt, and an msi k8n-neo4 platinum motherboard. My simple $150 upgrade of my second computer ended up costing closer to $400, plus the monitor for my main rig.
I'm moving my 17" lcd over to my older system to replace my 15" lcd. My 15" works great, but I really needed something bigger on that system. It's my main rig for connecting and working from home. On my gaming system I'll be getting this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824001081

Ain't that always the way, though ? I'm looking at upgrading my daughter's computer. She has a 9600 Pro with a AthlonXP 2500+. I want to bump her to maybe a celeron D 3.4 or something and move what's in her PC down to my basement file server. Maybe move her up to relatively cheap PCIe video. I've seen MBs and the Celeron D for like $60 each, but how much you bet I spend more like $200 or $250 ?
Hi, I'm sherard and I'm addicted to PC upgrades.
BTW, I've been leary of moving to an LCD myself, but we are in the process of moving and I've been using my wife's 17" Viewsonic LCD (8ms) and so far I don't have any complaints. I did notice trying to run Company of Heroes at other than the native resolution looked muddy, so unless you have the power, you probably should stay away from an LCD with native resolution of 1600x1200 or anything over 1280x1024. I run a 7900 GT and that can pretty much drive most games at 1280x1024.

yah i tried coh at 2560x1024 using my new and my old 19" t903 it looked awesome but ran at like 10-12 fps at best, guess its time to sli my 7800 gt. I never had a problem on my 19" as its optimal res was 1280x1024 so my games like bf2 and coh, i had maxed out at 1280, i can run bf2 at 1680 but instead of it running at an average of 65-70 fps it runs at about 50-55.

Yeah. It won't be as fast as yours, but the widescreen sold me. I do watch a lot of movies on the pc, but I was just as excited about seeing BF2 in wide screen. I seem to recall someone saying that even though there wasn't native support for ws in BF2, it still looks outstanding.
I should have mine in time for next Saturday.
