    Re: Recent Purchases

whelp looks like i maybe returning the g27. went dead in the middle of the race. it won't turn on anymore, wheel won't light up and spin when plugged in anymore. pc doesn't respond to any of the wheels inputs.

pedals and shifter still works perfect though.

ive done just about everything possible short of opening the wheel up itself. im going to try one last powercycle just for kicks and if this doesn't cut it im requesting a return.

    I think, not sure though.

It's only $13 and some change right now.

It's running Source if that what you mean, but all the graphics are improved.

It basically seems to be CS:S with some more modern touches and some new features for eSports since Valve is getting their eSports on with Dota 2 and a little bit with TF2.

Almost hard to believe but CS:S is 8 years old at this point.

20oz CO2 tank for my paintball gun: $17

Needed a tank to test out my gun since all my old tanks were out of hydro. Turns out my old trilogy autococker works fine, so I guess I'll go ahead and get my HPA tank re-hydro'ed and get a new mask. I had a blast playing last time and I figure I might as well get back into it a little bit

    Logitech G400: $30
Spike Mendelsohn's Good Stuff Cookbook: $10

got both on amazon. The G400 was a good price, but it was backordered. I don't need it, but I'll switch to that and use my 518 as a backup.

Never used one? I've always enjoyed examining the strip afterward and seeing all the nasty junk stuck to them. feels good man.

Rosewill Illuminated Mechanical Gaming Keyboard RK-9100BR with Cherry MX Brown Switch
    $112 = $130 - $26 (20% off) + $8 shipping (boo not free)

Finally took the plunge on a mechanical. I always wanted brown switches. The new illumination will be cool although I'm sure I could do without. Bonus - the blue matches the LED fans in my Antec 900 Glad to see the USB cable is now permanently attached. That should solve the problems most people were having with the mini-USB jack in the keyboard.

Had to ship it to my parents house (90 mins away) because Newegg won't ship it to NY. Not quite sure when I'm going to actually retrieve it.

I'm pleased with the Serta I got at Sam's Club. Very adjustable. First chair I was actually able to raise high enough and raise the arm rests so that my forearms are close to level with my desk. It's quite comfortable also. Even the leather (albeit bonded) has a nice look & feel. I wouldn't normally think of spending $140 on a chair but I'm glad I did.
