No plastic film on mine and I didnt RMA it, the receiver is out of sight and I will probably never look at it any way. If I found another gripe I would of returned it.
Sub Is good, it shakes the house but IMO its not worth what I paid for it, Its not that much better than the sub it replaced (which is now in the rear of the room as a 2nd sub)
Heres Mine 55" LED Samsung

haha I know its dwarfed but as long as my view of the tv is fine it'll do, at least until I move out... then I'll have to get a bigger one. Really wanted one at the time I bought this one, but decent 37 or 42" TV's were going for 700-800 bucks, way above my 550 cap last summer. Now i could probably get a 42" w/ a bunch more bells and whistles for the same price, so it goes :\
You probably wouldn't believe me if I told you I paid $1170 for that Samsung 61" LED backlit 1080P DLP. 1080P and no bulbs to replace ever. Not as thin as an LCD but so what, it sits on a TV stand anyway.

oh I believe it. those DLP's are a fantastic bang-for-buck size-wise. They come up on slickdeals regularly between 800-1100 for sizes ranging from 60-73". Pretty awesome and its only what, 15" deep? not quite as sexy, but not too shabby if you're gonna just put it on a stand
Yep that's about right. The TV stand you see in the picture I had custom made. Basically just a frame of nice wood open in the front and the back for good airflow and adjustable shelves. It was always my plan to store my components there so I have plenty of room for a TV on top.

Just got the monitor 40's to round out the HT setup. I was debating whether to get them or another set of the 30's since the 30's are already making my TV look tiny... well, went with the big ones to future-proof myself, dont wanna be living in my parent's house forever right?
Also just ordered a Droid Incredible. Gonna take forever to get here since they're sold out everywhere. Verizon says its gonna ship by 8/3 and I definitely hope I'm not waiting any longer than that for smartphone goodness

got some used, some new...
