    QUIZ: Anyone for Terrorist Profiling?

    Anyone for Terrorist Profiling?
    http://patriotpost.us/alexander/edition.asp?id=341
    Patriot Post by Mark Alexander

To ensure we Americans never offend anyone -- particularly fanatics intent on killing us -- law enforcement and security screeners are not allowed to "profile" people in public places or security checkpoints. However, they will continue to perform random searches of 80-year-old women, little kids, airline pilots with proper identification, Secret Service agents who are members of the President's security detail, 85-year-old congressmen with metal hips and even Medal of Honor recipients. But targeting Middle Eastern male Islamists between the ages 17 and 40 constitutes "ethnic profiling."

President George Bush said this week, "America is at war with Islamic fascists who will use any means to destroy those of us who love freedom, to hurt our nation." The Council on American-Islamic Relations issued an immediate objection to the President's reference to "Islamic fascists". Nihad Awad, executive director of CAIR protested, "We have to isolate these individuals because there is nothing in the Koran or the Islamic faith that encourages people to be cruel or to be vicious or to be criminal. Muslims world wide know that for sure." In light of this objection, we are left to ponder why every Islamic leader in the U.S., and the world, does not publicly condemn every terror action being undertaken in the name of the god of Islam. Their silence is deafening...

Between 1970 and present, there were more than 60 other notable examples of terrorism perpetrated by Middle Eastern male Islamists between the ages 17 and 40, but we think you get the point. Singling out "Middle Eastern male Islamists between the ages 17 and 40" is not "ethnic profiling," it's "terrorist profiling" -- acting on prolific evidence.

Re: QUIZ: Anyone for Terrorist Profiling?

Some like to call it "profiling".. I call it a statistical fact.

    From another thread:

They shave and wear suits (like in Battle of Algiers and Paradise Now). You want an Arab? They use an African. You want an African or Arab? They use an Asian. You want an Arab, African, or Asian? They use an Eastern European. You want anyone who might be Muslim? They use someone from home, like with the British guys. How do you look for an entire religion, one that contains over a billion people on every continent and of every ethnicity? How do you 'profile' humanity? You can't do it. If I was able to "fit in" as an Arab in an Arabic country, just how hard would it be to do the reverse if you were someone wanting to blow something up? The answer: not hard at all. Profiling doesn't work. As soon as they learn you are profiling for (x), they switch to (Y) and (Z).
    Oh, and by the way:

In 1968 Bobby Kennedy was shot and killed by:
    (a) A salesman from Utah (b) An construction worker (c) A college student on Spring Break (d) Middle Eastern Islamist males between the ages of 17 and 40.
The answer is (e): Sirhan Sirhan, a Christian Palestinian.

In 2002, more than 330 hostages in Beslan and 130 hostages in Moscow were murdered in sieges by:
    (a) Russian exchange students (b) The Red Guard (c) Church planters
    (d) Middle Eastern Islamist males between the ages of 17 and 40.
Actually the answer is (e): Chechens.

Shamil Basayev in an interview with Canadian newspaper said two of the attackers were Arabs. At least two English/Algerians are among the identified terrorists partaking actively in the attack: Osman Larussi and Yacine Benalia. And a third, UK citizen Kamel Rabat Bouralha, arrested while trying to leave Russia immediately following the attack, is suspected to be a key organizer
In 2002 the United States liberated Afghanistan from:
    (a) USAID relief workers (b) Jewish Pilgrims (c) Christian missionaries
    (d) Middle Eastern Islamist males between the ages of 17 and 40.
Nit-picking, males between 17 and 40 weren't the only ones.

And what do you say to the millions of people who fit your profile? "Watch yourself"? Is profiling in line with "freedom and justice for all"? Or is it simply authoritarian intimidation masquerading as security?

Tell me what a "Middle Eastern Islamist male between 17 and 40" looks like. Aren't you of Iranian descent, uncleel? You should know better. If I can pass as Arab in an Arabic country, then perhaps it might be wise to sit down and think really hard about whom you might actually be profiling. I'm reminded again and again of what happens you 'profile' people: they change appearance.

Are we to believe that terrorists do not know how to use subterfuge and camouflage, too?

All this proves is that we're statistically overdue for some non-islamic terrorists. Any day now...

Ha, 17 - 40 is a bit broad isn't it? Why not just say Islamic dudes? Also, the T-1000 from Terminator and Agent Smith from Matrix were both adult white males, and they real terrorists that kill without feelings.

There have been and are still terrorists outside the muslim community, most are busy acting against objectives that aren't the US or Western.

Suicide bombers in Isreal have dressed as women, Isreali soldiers and Orthodox Jews to name but a few.

Profiling makes sense statistically, but they need to keep an eye on everyone.

So you now take exception to the original post you made? Now it's not "Middle Eastern Islamist males between the ages of 17 and 40."?

Now it's all Arabs? And they should be what, under the watch of homeland security, deported, not allowed to fly?

What is the point made now?

You suspect all Arabs, even if they aren't Arabs as in the case of Beslan and Moscow?

Time for me to move on...

    All?

Just a few names immediately come to mind; Timothy McVeigh, Terry Nichols, Eric Rudolph & Ted Kaczynski. Are any of these guys even Muslim? Let alone Middle Eastern..
