    Best RAID Controler?

I'm looking for the best ATA RAID Controler on the market right now. Can you give me some advise on your favorite one and why?

I'm building a server with RAID 5 or 1 (I need speed and redundancy). I'm planning to use 4 drives with the first RAID card, and another RAID controler (yes 2) for Hot Swap to a big 100GB drive for backup (we do a full backup every day).

    Thanks for your help

Anandtech just did a comprehensive review on IDE RAID cards:

Suprisingly, it appears that RAID 1 is actually quite a bit faster than RAID 5. Also, software RAID cards that only support RAID 0 and 1 are much cheaper than the hardware RAID cards that also support RAID 5. It may be best to get four huge drives and use RAID 1+0 (mirrored for redundancy and striped for speed).
