awesome lot of parts you have there bro!

i dont think you will be disappointed by conroe....... 3.2 possible, 3ghz certainly!

take that 3ghz+ conroe, and then find the fastest AM2 you can find.....which do you think will pwn!

no offense to AMD, they will always hold a soft spot in my heart. I hope they regain the crown..... but bottom line...... all the reasons it made sense to buy amd the past 3 years???? well, for all those same reasons, conroe is unquestionable the chip for today!

    nice video card also bro.....

long story, but we have a 16yr old "mutt" my wife had as a pup before we met. still think she'd throw me out for the dog! LOL

anyway, a week ago, i was screwing around in my wifeys rig, and let the cover off.... well, the "dog food" bowl somehow gotsat next too it...... i came home last nite, and had the "burnt electron" smell!

dog food shorted out the video card, dont know how in the hades..... guess the dog had to sneeze with a mouth full of dogfood!

    RIP...... GF3 TI-200!

THOUGHT ABOUT TRYING TO FIX, BUT ITS PRETTY CHARRED! LOL

ahhhh.... may order a few parts fom mouser and give it a go!

MJ....... sorry for ruining your thread with my dog food story! LOL

Sorry to hear about your video card.

    http://cgi.ebay.com/Asus-V8200-Pure-...em220028791703

Poor dog, I hope he didn't get zapped....

Check the link you might find one cheaper than parts.

Will be ordering my new parts in 7 days. Need to sell old stuff first.Ebay.
I should get enough to get the 7950GX2 instead of the 7950gt.

The water block for the GX2 is $200 here, found one in GBritan for $145.

I'm going to try water cooling this time, heat has always been a problem with my last several systems. The Lian-Li case looks like a big Alu heat sink.
    Should work out better...

Lol, that makes a change - normally it's the opposite

If you need any assistance with shipping (like you couldn't get shipping to the US), let me know as I'm in the UK. Although I suspect by the time you've had anything shipped to the US it's probably more expensive.

    Thanks for the offer Ned.
They haven't responded with a shipping quote yet.

    http://store.over-clock.com/GPU_Blocks.html

If I buy it I don't pay VAT.

    1 Euro = 1.2724 U.S. dollars.

For some reason they don't offer UPS on there site.
I will email them again on Monday.

Wow. I would have been so pissed off after the 2nd I've gone out and bought a different brand board.

    No problem.

Not much help me offering then, as if you had it shipped to me and I shipped it on for you, you'd have to pay VAT at 17.5%

But I guess you'll have to pay import duty whereas I could label it as a "gift".

Shipping from the UK to the US is expensive - far more than the other way. Couriers like UPS, ANC etc are sometimes prohibitively expensive. Normally Royal Mail parcel post works out cheapest but is slow.

I have been researching this stuff for 2 weeks now.
When I find a board that looks good I fine something that won't work or newegg is out of them.

The best board so far is the P5B-E overclocks well if you can find a rev 1.02G.

The Abit aw9d-max looks good to but it has a heat pipe cooler on it. If I cool the north bridge with the water block the south bridge and mofets need something additional to cool them to. I don't want to hack up the heat pipe cooler.

    Well back to searching.....

Have a 600w rosewell that works well.
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817182041
    I also have a 500w generic, black w/ 120 fan.
This case holds 2 power supplies.
I made a relay harness that will plug into the 600w and turn on the 500w.
The pump, fans and video card will plug into the 500w.
Hope this works in the case, works good on the bench.

This is where I got some of my ideas from.
