Yep, you're system is screaming fast MJD

You did this wu in 2 hrs with the standard client and it took a AMD 4800+ over 3 1/2hrs to do the same wu with the optimized client.

Bottom line, you're new box does 60 points every 2 hours with the standard client so heres the math:

    12 * 60 = 720 * 2 = 1440 points per day

UB's Dual core opteron 175 does about 710 points per day

    So ya it's fast

Do I have to have 64 bit OS to use the 64 bit client?

I really doubt you'd see much of an improvement if any using the 64bit version. In general 64bit's main advantage is the extra resources that can be allocated to applications and the OS. This doesn't generally affect speed unless you need to do some extream math. And then in those cases, you'll have to recode the source to take advantage of those features.

But if you try both, let us know. As I know they've moded the source before for extra speed. Who knows what they did to these clients.

Something is not right, you're taking longer to complete a wu than a 3000+

    Doesn't make sense

Re: A8n32-SLi Dlx $hit the bed...

Will be selling 3 amd dual core systems and getting 2 Conroe.

    E6400@3.2 400mhz
    DS3
    1GB Adata ddr800
    Cost $998.00

The last batch I sold netted me $1000.00 should be a wash...
The E6600@3.2 is out performing my Opty by 2-1.
Having 3 Core 2 systems should output the same as 6 X2. Which is what I had before...
Also half the power consumption...and it gives me two more systems to mess with...

P.S. Wife said OK, shes getting one...

    Are we having fun yet!!!!!
