    Snow day in Colorado!

It's been quite a while since we've had a storm like this one. I think we've got about 18" so far, but the drifts make it hard to measure. The picture that shows my roof should be proof of that! The whole city's shut down. It's great! I just hope we don't lose power. All of our power cables here are buried so we should be ok, but I've seen it flickering all morning and my UPS's keep coming on. My guess is that's tree branches taking out power lines across the city.

I feel really sorry for my neighbor. He was supposed to fly out to South Africa today from DIA. I'd be amazed if he makes it. If he doesn't he'll be stranded at DIA, which is Hell.

No, this is actually a pretty big storm for us. Not counting the 24" storm we had 20 years ago. Lol, yesterday it was 65 degrees out.

    Re: Snow day in Colorado!

Lol, that's funny trout. I just got in from building an igloo with my kids. It's a heavy snow, a type we don't get much here. It works great for snowballs and snowmen. I got lucky today with shoveling, about halfway through the job the neighbor came over with his snow blower.

I think it's been almost 10 years since we've had a deep snow like this. Ah well, forecast tomorrow is for 50 degrees and 64 degrees the day after. This will melt in record time!

    I'm Jealous!! Love the Snow.

We've had a few good ones here in Connecticut the past few years. We had one last year where some parts of the state got upto 36", love those big storms.

Too bad it will disappear soo fast with the warm weather coming but still cool.

    I miss snow

Would be so much fun with my car, and just a wonderful scene. Hopefully we'll be moving to the midwest at the turn of the year, and see some again!
