Yes I did. I have tried everything. I am about to get a new motherboard...

I just loaded a 2.2 ghz 4400+ in my machine and my 3dmark06 score only went up 339 points. I had a 3500. I know there both 2.2 but still. How sad.

I had a ATI X800XL in my system with my 3500 and my score was 1726.

    I am lost.

the x2 will only bring up your cpu score on 06, doubled actually, won't have much affect on overall score though. did you install the core optimizer and dual core driver from amd?

3dmark06 is more gpu dependant, cpu won't show significant gains.

and btw the drivers on the cd for your gpu are probably very old, update with the newest drivers, that'll prolly help.

Yes I ran the test with the optimizer. I also loaded the drivers from cd and then latest from nvidea with little to no difference on the scores. Thanks for all your ideas and help. I am going to buy a new mb and go from there. I will break 5k if its the last thing I do. lol Thanks again.

buying a new mobo isn't the answer. you're motherboard isn't going to hold your score back that much. something is likely going on in the bios or the os.

some driver or setting messing things up, trouble is finding it, hard to suggest what it is all the time though.

I don't see how a format is going to help things.

could, but not the best solution if it is software related. best to find out what the actual problem is in case it comes up again.
