BF2142 dog tags, medals, ranks, etc

I need help with the thread title though. LOL. There are dog tags in 2142 right? Are there still medals?

Whenver you knife someone you steal their Dog Tags

You get awards from collecting them , there is a badge and a special knife unlock that I know of

hmm, never heard of the knife unlock...I hope it works when you stab someone unlike the knife now....so far ive got 22 dog tags collected

yeah when you get 50 unique knife kills (50 knife kills all from dif people) you get a knife with a dog tag on it. AKA the dogtagger dagger. Heres what mine looks like (mid stab of course)

So dog tags are sort of like ribbons in BF2 in that you get them if you meet certain requirements?

No, dog tags are simply what you get after you knife someone. It's just that persons dog tag. After you get 50 unique dog tags, you get that cool knife. If you kill 8 people in a round with the knife you get the collectors pin.

Then dog tags are only for knifing. That's interesting.

got my first 2 unlocks last night and My Engineer medal I think. I saw that the BF2142 stats page was closed down. So for now you can only see them in game

This is from the BF2142 official stats page. The stats seem to be FUBAR because I played last night and got all my points but none of my pins and or bagdes showed up. I had, if I can remember at least 2 or 3 Emergency Rescue Pins at least 2 Combat Efficiency Pin, 2 or 3 Titan defend attack pins plus some more that i can't remember. i know on one round I rec'd 70 points for pins/medals 3 20's and a 10 pointer.

Just realized I did not get any of my commander points from the round was commander man this bites. Well the only good thing is that if it does give you the points but not the awards I guess you can keep geting the same ones over again. Would be better if I was at the gold level instead of bronze though
