the greatest thing about the 680i, it has built in fan control on the mainboard, which you set a speed, or temp for "each" fan hooked to the mainboard, and it has about 5 headers. so you can order extra muscle, and slow'em down, unless really needed. another geeky great, it has on/off and reset buttons ON the mainboard!

but back to topic, the water cooling is working great, cpu runs at 3.5ghz, 1.4v, 42c full load........ I like it!

Not any better than My C2Q setup really T, Actually yours is worse than mine temp wise, The Vigor Monsoon II hsf-tec(50w) rules! At full load It never gets above 43C, Right now It's at 37C while crunchin Seti!

And Yeah I plan on buying a few more of these Vigors if My next one works as well as the current setup and they ain't cheap, But they are quiet.

No, I'm not. I've got a Quad core and It's running at 38C doing Seti.

Not when I'm putting out almost as much today as SOFM is.

Lets see the AMD "quad"(a pair of 270's) is at 2.3GHz and the Intel quad K6700 QX6700 is at 2.66GHz(stock) I have to update the Bios from 1305 to about 1601 or so, then I should have multiplier control, as QX cpus are unlocked.

Well I put the 1601 rom file on a blank floppy in a usb-fdd, Later on I'll flash It, I'm still not really familar with overclocking an intel cpu, I'm so spoiled on AMD cpus.

Since you have an unlocked cpu, its too easy!

    just raise the muliplier!

maybe raise the fsb a little just for good measure.......

unlink your memory, if you can, at least at first, so that doesnt hold you back......

not much progress, but she is purrin away! Hope to have it finished before next year!
