The game is superb; the only improvement I can suggest is to make it longer.

i'm betting by then we'll have better games.

this game is getting way too much hype, even for a released game, pc gamers have had games of higher caliber for a long time and i'll be damned if i ever saw a launch party for hl2, or prey, or fear.

even though i'm pretty confident crysis will blow everything the consoles have out of the water, i'm also fairly positive it won't get nearly as much hype. console makers just have better advertising i guess, i wish pc game devs would get on the ball and really cooperate for the good of the community.

I was stationed at RAF Chicksands, about 20 years ago. Very close to Bedford. I think it's been shut down and handed back over to the UK goverment by now. It was a really pretty area. Lots of woods for hiking, biking and running. Really nice. Enjoyed my time there.

Your 'Xbox360 or console negativism' aside: I'd really like to hear what those games are? Gears of war certainly outdoes anything out for the PC in graphics, at least.

That's true. GoW is based on the Unreal 3 engine, and seeing it run on the 360 is awesome. Hopefully, U3 games will run fairly well on the PC, but that's going to open a can of worms because of how much hardware needs support.

Unreal 3 is a next-gen engine, and having it run smoothly on a console is amazing.

Man some people seem so insecure over videogames..it's pretty sad. Sub has probably made more posts in here and he doesn't even like console games.

+1 GoW is the best 3rd person shooter since the first 2 Socoms and possibly the best shooter period in the last couple of years. It's a terrific game in any flavor that you decide to play it...co-op, multi, etc.
