    EA is nuts!

My user name for bf 1942 works to play online, but they have no record of me to retrieve my info to use it for 2142....

Everyname i choose to try and create, no matter how nutty it is comes back that the username is in use......
    Crazy...

anyone else have these issues before?

    Re: EA is nuts!

Are you talking about your EA user name or your in game 1942 name?

If your trying to gain veteran status you have to have a BF2 account.

    Re: EA is nuts!

so you want your battlefield 1942 name and password after you reformat?

You can make a new account with the same in game name because 1942 allows people to have the same names. Just not the same log in. But once you log in, you can make any name you want for in game, because duplicate names are allowed for ingame.

the serial for BF1942 is only numeric...i think your getting your games confused....theres no info in 1942 to carry over as it doesnt have any stat tracking only bf2 did this.

There is no PW neccesary to login to 1942.

    Re: EA is nuts!

It's been ages since I played 1942 but I checked and my CD key is all numeric. Also I don't remember there being any EA account stuff associated with 1942. I think that all started with BF2. That's how I remember it. I could be mistaken.

Even though he said he is talking about 1942 it sure seems like he really means BF2. Even the first post seems like he was trying to get veteran status for a new 2142 soldier. 1942 and 2142 are completely unrelated in terms of accounts, player names, etc as far as I can tell.

I could have sworn you needed some kind of password to log into the game, but I honestly can't remember.

My best guess is we are really talking about Battlefield 2 here not 1942.

I'm confused as hell as to what the guy is talking about in this thread...And ct, you do not need a password to play 1942, it only asked for your nickname you would like to use (which wasnt tied to an ea account and could be changed and duplicated)

    K, I couldn't remember. I don't have a clue either anymore.

Hunter, are you asking about BF1942 or Battlefield 2? Just to clarify.

    Re: EA is nuts!

    the original....
    Battlefield 1942.........

I finally got Ea to accept a new account, had to go to there site and let them basically choose one for me from what i tried.... It is all good I guess?

    lol

I still think you have to login on this game after install, guess I will cross that bridge after the reformat.

Thanks guys. Might see you in game (2142) after i get some skills going on single player mode
