naw would be upgrading my current rig. If I brought another desktop into the apartment I'd be out. Had thought about the trickle down though. Take my current good rig and move it down to replace my 1200 T-Bird that servers as a server. But If I did buy I would have to be replacement and try and sell off the current parts.
Yeah after I posted that I realized you had a NF3/AGP board and the new one is NF4/PCIE. I'm heavy into passing down parts. Even though Buu plays more games then me I still get the best partsbut I make sure he has adequate hardware as well. Anytime I upgrade something it goes into my rig and then Buu gets whatever I pulled out. With 3 PCs to maintain you just have to do it that way otherwise they would cost a fortune to maintain. But I had to upgrade Buu to an A64 with new parts because the XP1800+ was just too slow for BF2. Now his 6600GT is kinda slow for BF2142 but he's going to have to wait until I upgrade my 7600GT then I'll give him that.

will it game?
usually takes that amount of time, however somethings wrong if it takes longer than that, I ordered one recently for work and they took 3 weeks and so I cancelled and got the same thing elsewhere and it only took a week for it to be built and delivered
The latest update: My new toy cleared the Chinese customs this morning (in Shanghai, China) and is now enroute to be delivered on Monday, the 8th. It's coming by UPS Express. Yeah, right. UPS Express??? I'll be very surprised (and pleased) if it gets here on time.
OMG, it made it on time. Now the fun of setting it up. I also ordered a 1gb stick of ram from NewEgg ($100 less than the Toshiba price) and it should be here today. I'll slap that in and have 2gb going. I really haven't had much time to play with it since I spent most of my evening (before gaming) getting the lan set up on it. I think I could actually play BF2142 on it. I'll probably install the demo after I get things settled down a bit with it. This is the one with the Nvidia 128 mb graphics.I feel like a kid with a new toy......
I finally have everything set up. I had to remove the keyboard to access the slots for the memory. Once I figured out what I needed to do it took about 10 minutes to take it down, remove the keyboard strips and the keyboard, open up the ram access plate, install the ram, close everything back up and have it running. I did also have to replace the netgear wireless with the Linksys wireless. The netgear was rock-solid with the wired connections, but the wireless connected was very unstable. With the Linksys I'm able to bring the tablet out of hibernation and there is an immediate connection. I could never do that with the other one. Within the next day or two I hope to be able to install the BF2142 demo. The Nvidia graphics has 128mb dedicated ram, and it can use up to 128mb of system memory, for a total of 256mb.
Thanks,
Tom
