Good point again; I 'm using an analog input from the Linux machine, but even then there are parameter limits (resolution mixes of verticals and horizontals, f.e., or even a refresh rate)

When you are on a digital output ?
I don't know (yet) what support ther is for that ...

That's what bugs me.... being in native resolution and refresh rates. Especially on a digital input, it shouldn't be happening. Time to swap vid cards and/or monitors to narrow it down.

Most display issues related to the monitor and not the vid card etc ... are caused by limited RF rate lcd's. I find that whenever this happens to me, a standard CRT has no problem changing into that mode. (assuming it's not an ANCIENT fixed refresh rate 60hz or something... which Still could work)

monitor issue resolved. i was looking deeper than i needed to. a simple auto adjust run through the monitors menu fixed the issue

There's a typo there - you need to say

    Code:
    ./installService
after you change to the foldingathome directory

    Hello The Wise One,

Be careful about running it as a service.

I am not sure about that.

Was it the gpu client that had an issue or was it the smp client????

    Double check.

    If it is running fine.

The way on monitor is I put a link on the desktop and look at the log.

Crude but good enough for now.

I just start off fah5 in a terminal window and it automatically shows me the progress as it creates the log, line by line.
When I restarted it (two days ago) I added -verbosity 9 for soemextra info if something should go wrong.

I must say i 've only had EUE's when I got p3020's, none so far with the p3024-3027 series of which I 've been getting p3025's and a few p3027's !

    Wise One

Go to your folding folder and find your log. Right click it and create a shortcut.
The shortcut will appear in the same folder you are in. Right click it, Cut, and paste to your desktop window. You have your shortcut.
