    Gig of sticks

    I have 2 x 512MB, Ballistix 184-pin from crucial. Why when I go to their site I can't find compatible 1 x 1gig sticks of memory?

Can I put in generic 1 gig memory in my system?

Yeah you can. There's a chance it will work perfectly fine. nvidia chipset can be picky about the memory and configuration you use.

And most people prefer to stay away from generic memory for the obvious reasons. Have you tried other sellers or maybe ebay ?

I seem to remember my K7N2 Delta being picky, but my Delta2 was less so.

Weird thing is it would boot the generic stuff but not my corsair until I set the timings tight and the voltage to 2.7.
