Re: Best place to buy a barebones system?
Pricewatch is a good place to start but can be a little worrisome when you buy from someone youíve never purchased from with before. For work applications Iíve purchased low end systems off various venders advertising on Pricewatch and havenít gotten stung yet, not sure I would do it for my own PC.

One other thought is to look for a local PC show/sale. There are several in the LA Area so there is usually one going on every weekend. The ones around here have local vendors with decent prices for systems and most will assemble them with parts of you choice. You also have the advantage of face to face so less problems in getting what you want/need.
