Is anyone else here looking forward to Quake Wars as much as I am?

First of all, I can say probably not. I LOVE Enemy Territory. With the exception of a few months break, I've played RTCW and ET since the beta test of RTCW way back in late 2001. I STILL play ET quite a bit and even after all these years I still enjoy it.

Of course I'm eagerly awaiting Quake Wars now. I've not been this excited for a game to come out in a long, long time. It looks like it has all the makings for a really fun game, while still holding onto the class system and team based play that makes ET so much fun.

So am I the only totally hard core ET fan around here?

Never played ET but if RTCW is Return To Castle Wolfenstein tehn I used to play that all the time when it first came out. Back then I used to play alot of CS and Day of Defeat also.

I'm looking forward to UT2007 more, but Quake Wars looks promising also.

It's a sweet program and it does NOT create huge CD or DVD sized images on your hard disk. Usually it only needs a few MB to create a profile for a game. And when a new protection comes out that doesn't work with GJ they are quick to work a fixed version. Good support from the developers in their forums too. It's also designed in such a way that it doesn't encourage piracy which is why I recommend it here. Basically the profiles you create for you games can't be shared with other people.

I have been waiting for et:qw for almost two years now. I hope ut2007 is not its detriment. The good news is i can handily run the doom3 engine.

Right now I don't have a particular server I like yet. I haven't played for around 6 months so I'm having to find some new favorite servers again.

I'm not a big fan of multi play games. To many cheaters. I prefer single play.
