Talking How you spending your tax refund?

Well, it's that time of year. Uncle Sam gets to pony up some cash for some of us. I bought a used car, and put a few things on wish list at the Egg. What are you planning to spend your refund on?

I want to make a few big payments to some loans and get those paid down. Then maybe put a little "cushion" in the savings account. But I don't know how much I'll actually get back this year. Wife and I are making more money and I think we're in a new bracket.

Tax refund? Those are those things you get when you overpay to the government and give them an interest-free loan by not claiming the 9 exemptions you're legally entitled to on your W-4 form, right?

Sorry, not familiar with the concept...

I use my Federal Tax Refund to pay my State Income Tax. I don't withold for the state. I just file the Federal and when I get my refund I file the State and pay with the refund. Usually have enough left over for a couple of nice steak dinners.

I only get between $700-800 and what I do is invest it specially if I hear of a great penny stock or anything around $8-10 stock. It pays off really well in about 5 years or so.

Nope, Earned income credit and other stuff due to the living arrangement here. Should be around $3500 this year.

if i get a decent one i'll get a rhino liner for the truck, and put the rest in savings, maybe even all, this way i can refinance in about a year and get these dang payments down to a reasonable level.

Here are a couple of true Aussie shepherds:

    Blue Heeler

    Kelpie

Border Collies are popular here as sheep dogs too, but they're British.

Might upgrade my case and get 2 more HDDs for a RAID 5 setup. If I have enough, I'm also considering some strut tower braces and maybe a rear sway bar for the car. I'd like to put SOME in my savings, but I've been putting 50% of my pay in each month recently, so I've built my savings up nicely, only to pull it down by needing to buy furniture soon, and I just bought an iPod...
