AMD X2 6000+ For Sale early??

I would really like to have that processor the only problem is it cost really expensive even online.

Around when do u think it will be released? as overclockers.co.uk doesn't have it yet.

Also AMD is compiting with the latest Intel well AMD should make it much cheaper like £300+ and not £500+

IS this then the best AMD processor? AMD 64 x2 6000? better than the FX

If it doesn't hit at least 3.6-3.8 then it really is no competition for the Core 2 Duo at all (and even if does, the C2D is still way cheaper since you can get a 6300-6600 that will do those clocks). I'd like to see 4.0 out of them, and a price cut. However, with the same Windsor core, I don't see that happening.

As far as being early, I doubt AMD is in a position to pull them from Newegg, and in fact probably gave them the go ahead to start selling.

That's what it looks like.

When the Agena comes out on the 1207 platfom it could very likely be untouchable. The platfom is just made to move data and with Vista the non-uniform memory access issues should be a thing of the past.

Great. That will be interesting. Ya do have to wonder if this just isn't a bin pick of the best 90nm, and may not oc very well. So it's great you've got one to test.

with a high..or was it unlocked multi? it shouldnt be a problem ocing it even on a via board,but i guess r dude will chose a nice nvidia one,maybe the asus stryker thing?

FX's are all 1207 pin (4x4) now

Its based on the 90nm proccess and still the same old AMD K8 architecture we have been seeing for how long? It prolly wont do more than like 3.2ghz. If it gets more than that, i would be shocked.
