    Help Finding a PSU

Okay got bit by ebay again and it now looks like I’ve purchased “New in the box, never opened” A64 3700+ San Diego (ADA3700CFBOX) and Tforce 6100-939. Now I can only hope it will fit into BluHaz, my acrylic mATX case!

Then this will be the system, but need help with an “inexpensive”, “attractive”, and “not too large” PSU! It is bad enough that I defiantly have to upgrade to a pci-e gpu but now the cost of the pwr supply. Could have “snuck” the agp version of the X1650XT by the wife, but now a cpu, mobo, gpu, AND a psu is going to be murder!

    Biostar Tforce 6100 939
3700+ San Diego (stock hsf >> replace w/ what?)
    X1650XT (need a short gpu!)
    F1-3200PHU2-1GBZX or F1-3200PHU2-2GBZX
    LG CD-RW/DVD-R & 1.44 FDD
    80gig D'Max Plus9
    PSU ???

Chesterfield County on the southside of Richmond (since '80), but the Valley is where I'd rather be!! That is the part of VA I fell in love with back in the early '70's. The wife and I just spent part of last week going from Bedford all the way up to Strausburg with stops at Luray, New Market, Woodstock and all!

Maybe this should be moved over to the Cases, Cooling, Power, and Modding area?

    Re: Help Finding a PSU

Might get lucky at newegg, as Sapphire is offering a $20 MIR on the X1950Pro, X1650XT, X1650Pro 256 AGP, and X1650Pro 512 AGP. http://images10.newegg.com/UploadFil...1007Ky15_1.pdf

Originally was going with the Powercolor X1650XT AGP ($175.63 shipped) before the 939 mobo buy http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814131036

Now going with the 939 mobo & pci-e, switched to the Sapphire X1650XT ($135.64 shipped) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102068 So if you throw in the $20 MIR that = $115.64 for a savings of $60 which is very close to what the proc or mobo cost me!! Might get that by the wife and live a little longer!

Also give me a little more room for that PSU buy!

    EDIT
Just downloaded the manual for the mobo and it looks like there is a clear path all away across it for a gpu! All loving 9 - 1/2" of it!! With the current drive & hdd layout there is the possiblity of stuffing a X1950 Pro in there. With the MIR at newegg that would be only $165.63!! Just for fun I layed a 7800GTX in the case and if indeed board layout is as shown it would appear the only "physical" issue would be the "remove gpu before removing memory" kind of thing. Talk about an upgrade from a 6600GT OC?!?!

Something else to consider when picking the PSU!!

Thanks to ebay again I've ended up with one of these (excuse the length of the review, but it is a good one):
