I'm trying to use the same motherboard across 4 different configurations comprising 30 machines. I wanted to use the XVN due to the 16X PCI-E capability for the workstations, but for the others I need onboard video. Is anyone using this particular board? Does it have onboard video?
Intel's spec sheet doesn't mention it, but all photos of this board show onboard VGA port. I know that the S5000PSL has onboard VGA. I've heard that Intel uses the same photo for ALL motherboards in a series. Help?
In spite of no replies on this forum...
I've since found out the S5000XVN indeed does not have onboard video. Luckily it does have a serial port. So, I'm going with the S5000XVNSATA/8800GTX/4GB DDR2-667/Dual Intel 5060/XP x64 with some WD 250GB/16MB non-RAID for the workstations.
And S5000PSLSATA/8GB DDR2-667/Dual Intel 5060/and 6 WD 150GB Raptors in a RAID1 and RAID10 config for the servers.
