    Exclamation Where do you stand?

Just something to kill the slow Winter days. there seems to be a divide in here. Let's chew on it a bit. which one are you?

    1. I'm a point hoe, I could be looking for aliens for all I care, as long as I'm competeing.

    2. I'm in it for the science, I could be folding anonymous for all I care.

    3. I'm pretty sure I'm going to need this cure. Maybe they will put me in the front of the line if I fold.

    4. I was bored one day, and I clicked on some stupid link. Now I'm hooked.

I'm in between 1 and 2 with a little bit of #4 mixed in for good measure.

    Does that make sense?

    Re: Where do you stand?

I started by looking for a quick 'burn-in' program to test my stability. When I saw the program, and found out what it was all about, I installed it. I have been putting it on every computer I come in contact with ever since. I know far too many people who have died due to complication's associated with alzhiemers and cancer..... My neighbor is suffering from Alzhiemers currently. I guess it really doesn't bother him any lobger, but I see how much it effects his wife. She is a sweet old lady. She struggles with taking care of him every day. I fold because I don't think anyone should go through that......

    Re: Where do you stand?

Number two all the way, I'm in it for the science. I think it is amazing that such a simple provision as leaving my computer on could provide so much. What we do has a significant impact on the production of cures for Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, cancer, and a few other diseases. For that, I am proud to be a folder. On!

    Current folders:
    1. SMP Client - IMac Intel CoreDuo 2.0Ghz ; 2GB RAM ; Radeon X1600
    2. Windows F@H Client - 1.8Ghz AMD 64 ; 1GB RAM ; 6600GT
    Coming Soon:
    2.8Ghz Intel P4 - 512GB RAM
1.4 P4 (if its worth it)

I joined Short-Media sometime after the "Great Crash". Reading old threads and seeing the hospitality here, (letting the team have a pad to crash on) IF I were to ever leave Team 93, I would pop in here. I'm not to active here, but that doesn't mean I haven't lurked for a while, I think it was still AMDMB when I first started visiting.

I do feel honored for the offer though

same...but really its cuz i like competing, and i'd rather help health than look for aliens(which i am sure are out there... so no need to try to find them..)
