I'm seriously thinking about getting a Cooler Master Gemin II:

    http://www.coolermaster.com/index.ph...NU2-GP+GeminII

You have to get up to two fans for this thing. Blows down on the HS just over the CPU, and also cantilevers over the memory and ND area. I think this would be great to cool down overclocked memory and NB as well.

    For fans the following:

    http://www.silverstonetek.com/products-fm121.htm

    110 cfm @ 39.5 dBa

These fans have tons of cfm at reasonible dBa. Each fan comes with a fan controller. Dial them down to accomodate different situations.

Yeah kid is an idiot :-)

Check out this review. One reason for me purchasing the GEMIN II:

    http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=132996

This guy did some serious testing! The GEMIN II had the best CPU temps out of the bunch (Noctua NH-U12F Zalman 9700 Scythe Infinity). Look at the chipset temps of the G II compared to the others! It's in the green. All others were in the red.

I hope to get this cooler (I purchased from Newegg along with 3 Silverstone 120mm and 1 SS 80mm fan). Now I need a processor :-) I ordered a e6400 from Microcenter for $175, but now MM says it's backordered! I'm seriously thinking about purchasing a Q6600 when they supposedly come down in price.

When I get my system up I'll run some tests and report on the findings.

    Some more testing:

Unfortunately, that new version of the 120 with the extra pipes it's not yet available. The results they obtained were quite impressive, I must say. I've been following that series. From reading that series along with some other articles, I bought the tuniq tower for my new system. The mobo (DS3), memory (G.Skill 2 X 1g 6400), and the cpu (C2D 6600) just arrived today.

I was surprised at the size of the nb hs on the DS3. It's much larger than I thought, and looks like some thought went into its design. I wondering if I really need to replace it. I bought this as a replacement:

well, quite simply..i'm thrilled! the board was easy to setup and easy to overclock..running at 415 right now on the fsb..had tried 400 post trying 375 which booted fine and 400 it wouldn't post..clearly, the bootstrap issue that has been alluded to..but i'm quite happy with 3320 out of my 36400 and corsair 5400 memory which amazes me..didn't think it would go that high..good stuff..and temps with the tt and this overclock? 42C on idle, 51 full load (would likely be better but there's very little clearance on my htpc case for that big brute)
