Help with DS3 setup with OCZ GameXStream PS

Okay, about ready to hookup my DS3. I've read the DS3 manual along with the OCZ GXS, but I'm confused with the Power hookups. The GXS has one main power bundle coming out of the PS. It has an ATX connector (20 pins) and another 4 pin connector (it has 24 printed on it - in the manual each pin is as follows - +12vdc, +5vdc, 3.3vdc and GND). The GXS also has two more 4 pin connectors (each individual of each other). One is labeled CPU1 and the other is CPU2. I have a feeling that I should hookup the 20 pin to the DS3 and the CPU1 connector as well. I was just wondering if there would be consequences to connecting the main 20 pin + 4 pin connector?

I might be driving a Quad core (100+ Watt draw) with this DS3 and PS.

    Thanks.

I believe the 20 pin and that 4 pin are designed to lock together, then go into the 24 pin ATX port on the motherboard. You will also need to plug the CPU1 4-pin into the square socket near the CPU socket.

Yep, if you look at it one of the 4 pins is sleeved to attach to the side of the 20 pin. The second 4 pin has to go into the 4 pin power slot on the board.

you can use a 20 ATX style connector in the main connector and the 4 pin in the aux connector. The 20 pin needs to be fit flush on one end leaving 4 empty ports at the other end. It will only go in flush on one end. Or you can get a 20 to 24 pin adaptor. Mine is setup with 20 + 4 using a PC Power and Cooling PSU.
