Re: IDCSERVCO and possible attempted Fraud against my company

    We call them "Toner Pirates".
I'm in the office automation industry, so I know their tactics very well.
They prey on low level clericals who have no idea how the copier (MFD or MFP) lease was negotiated. Rarely do they have a clue that toner was/ is included in the maintenance contract.

Toner Pirates are fly-by-nite boiler room operations that are very difficult to nail down in court. Their telemarketing stooges that work for them are equally shady.

The sad part of the story is, bottom line, Xerox sold somebody that toner and therefore has the knowledge to track it/ stop it. That carton of toner has tracking codes that could be used to trace it back thru the system and they (Xerox et al) could shut them down back at the source.

But guess what, due to the greed which is rampant in the industry, Xerox wont do anything about it..... it's one of the industry's dirty little secrets. Xerox is not alone in this............ I am not picking on them.....exclusively.

If you still have those cartons of toner, copy down the UPC codes etc etc etc from the box and then call Xerox, ask them to trace it back to the original destination company, so you can help them track down the 'criminals'.......

I didn’t think these people would have the guts to try this AGAIN but apparently they don’t keep very good records of who they deal with. To my utter amazement I received a call today from an ID Servco representative about “Our Toner” order.

After a fairly long winded rant on my part, explaining that we never have done business with ANY company supplying toner for us OTHER than Xerox through our lease agreement the woman on the phone said “Fine I’ll tell them you don’t want it”

My response moments before I hung up on her was “Want it? WE NEVER ORDERED IT!”

These guys prove once again that they were not previously and are not now a company you can trust. If you are ever contacted by them DO NOT give them any information about your equipment or the name of any of your personnel or you will receive product you neither want or order.

I’ll give them this though, they are bold to try this again. Not smart but bold.

They turn over the "boiler room" personel every 60 to 90 days. FWIW, They keep minimalist records, mostly your name and address and phone number; perhaps your credit card information if they ever got that far...which obviously they do [with many] because they are still in business. They'll get lucky, maybe, one day, when you're not there to intercept the call.

    It's what they do....................

They real problem is, as I said, Xerox. That fish stinks - from the head.

Lol Well Xerox isn’t my choice, that’s for sure. For us Xerox is a corporate wide (And we are talking global here) vendor and I don’t have any say in that.

The thing is, we are such a large customer that we have a dedicated Corporate Xerox representative and our service and response from them is excellent. I never need to contact a call center, or talk to someone whose native language is not the same as mine. If we have any trouble with any of our “MFD’s” (Multi Functional Devices) a technician is on site the same day.

As for IDServco I guess I shouldn’t be shocked they were still trying to pull the same scam.

Has anybody taken any successful action against IDCServCo to get money back? I take it that no dealings with the company itself have been successful.
