You're right. Fuel costs are insane right now. I owned a '91 LX 302 in the '90's and I can't imagine the money I'd be spending if I still had it. Especially driving 60 miles round trip for work. Besides, the thing still has some good getup and go for being a 6. Not bad at all. She already knows, she picked this one and I get to pick the next one in a couple of years. That's right, I'll say it again. '07 Yukon Denali with ALL the goodies. I know I was just bitching about fuel, but I'd spend that kind of money in a Yukester. Definitely!

buddy of mine in NY had a mid 80s (?) LX that he put a hypo 289 all reworked, bored, shaved, polished, etc. came out of a fairlane that was just evil. guy who owned the fairlane got all cooked on cocaine and totaled it. motor was salvagable and was put itnto the LX. car screamed. was a fuel hog though (as one could imagine).

Well, if I was a cop and had to pick a car out of the crowd, I would choose hers based off those facts....
