Good god. Is there no end to the bias? They just HAPPEN to snap a pic of a baby wounded by Israeli air strikes?

No one was in the building when it was struck.
So did the Israeli airstrikes wound the baby or was it some random act of Allah? *shakes head*

Uh, there have been multiple airstrikes, not just the one on the office.

So put a picture up of the Hamas primiers office. The wounded baby can go with his own little airstrike article on his little terrorist parents house.

Dude, the article talks about the entire situation, not just the strike on the office (though that is the first part of the story). Plus, you don't know who the kid's parents were, so don't make an ass of yourself by spouting useless, ignorant shit. If you don't want to say more than "NUKZEM11!" just don't respond.

Indeed believe it or not, not everyone in Palestine is a terrorist. Too many folks over there are just trying to survive day from day. The Government was voted in by the majority yes but not everyone voted in favor of throwing it all away. There are still many moderates there sadly there is far more nut jobs. Many innocents are going to die.

Do you not see what I'm getting at here? The bias against Israel is front and center with the picture of the poor Palestianian baby right up at the front. Yet you have to get 80% of the way through the article to see what relationship it has with the entire situation.

"Babies no more than 5 months old are being bombed," Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas said. "We ask the world to see with its own eyes and judge for itself who is really carrying out international terrorism."

JERUSALEM (CNN) -- Palestinian leaders announced Sunday they have suspended peace talks with Israel until the Jewish state halts its military operation in Gaza -- something that Israeli officials have said they have no intention of doing.

"Following what happened yesterday, peace talks are halted until the Israeli aggression stops," Palestinian spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeina said Sunday.

"That is the decision which the President [Mahmoud Abbas] adopted," Rudeina said. "Israel should know that this aggression won't just pass and the continuous Israeli provocation and aggression upon the Palestinian people won't lead to peace."

Israeli government spokesman Mark Regev told CNN that Israel is responding to ongoing rocket fire from Palestinian militants who are "deliberately and continuously target[ing] civilian population centers."

Israel can not sit by while militants try "to kill our people," Regev said...

ASHKELON, Israel: Residents of this sleepy, beachside city were still coming to terms Sunday with the fact that they are now on the front lines of Israel's battle against Hamas militants.

A dozen long-range rockets landed here over the weekend, marking a significant turning point in the conflict and compelling Israel to strike back hard...

JERUSALEM: Israeli ground forces pulled out of northern Gaza early Monday after a two-day operation against Palestinian rocket-launching squads. Scores of Palestinians, including many civilians, and two Israeli soldiers were killed in the fighting.

In Gaza City, thousands of Palestinians attended what Hamas called a victory rally. Soon after the Israeli troops left northern Gaza, militants fired more rockets into Israel.

Two longer-range imported Katyusha-style rockets struck the Israeli coastal city of Ashkelon on Monday morning. One of them hit an apartment block, causing damage but no physical injury to the residents. At least two shorter-range Qassam rockets, which are manufactured in Gaza, fell inside Israel but also caused no casualties...

Tit-for-tat clashes in Gaza may escalate into the next quagmire in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Before the current fighting started, Israeli officials privately scoffed that they could live with an occasional Hamas or Islamic Jihad rocket fired into their territory by the Palestinian militants in Gaza. But that changed last week when Hamas, angered at the loss of five senior commanders in an Israeli air strike, began targeting Ashkelon again, sending a dozen powerful Grad missiles into the Israeli port roughly five miles from Gaza's northern frontier. In retaliation, the Israelis stormed into northern Gaza.

On Saturday, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas suspended contact with Israel, as fighting between Israeli forces and Palestinian militants raged on for a second day, leaving nearly 70 dead and hundreds more wounded. Abbas' walk-out may doom the visit this week by U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice who was due to fly into the Middle East to provide impetus for peace talks between the Israelis and the Palestinians...

Has this already been reported here? Worth noting.

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2008...hepalestinians

The Bush administration, caught out by the rise of Hamas, embarked on a secret project for the armed overthrow of the Islamist government in Gaza, it emerged yesterday.

Vanity Fair reports in its April edition that President George Bush and the secretary of state, Condoleezza Rice, signed off on a plan for the Palestinian president, Mahmoud Abbas, to remove the Hamas authorities in Gaza. The plan called for Washington's allies in the region to funnel arms and salaries to Fatah fighters who would lead a rising against Hamas.

First I've seen of it, Snow. Thanks for posting it. I'm not sure how effective that policy might be, though.

    http://www.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/meast/...ast/index.html

GAZA CITY (CNN) -- Israeli soldiers returned to southern Gaza on Tuesday hours after U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice appeared in the West Bank calling for Israelis and Palestinians promptly to resume peace talks.

Rice was in Jerusalem dining with Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, as Israeli soldiers were operating outside Khan Yunis, according to Israeli military and Palestinian security sources.

Witnesses Tuesday said they believe Israeli troops surrounded the home of Yusif al-Ismairi -- a leader of a military wing of Palestinian Islamic Jihad.

The Israel Defense Forces confirmed they killed al-Ismairi, and another militant whose name was not released...

JERUSALEM (CNN) -- Several people have been injured Thursday in what Israeli police are calling a "severe terrorist attack" at a Jewish seminary in Jerusalem.

The Associated Press reported at least seven people died in an attack by two people. A police spokesman told CNN one atacker was dead and at least 20 people were injured but he could not confirm other fatalities.

Video from the scene showed a frantic crowd of rescue workers carrying bloodied victims into ambulances. Dozens of police officers were scouring the campus and surrounding streets.

Police spokesman Mickey Rosenfeld said: "They opened fire on innocent youngsters studying. A number of students have been killed.

"We are still searching the building for the possibility of a second terrorist still in the buidling."

CNN's Ben Wedeman in Gaza reported celebratory shooting shortly after the attack...
Scooter posted this in the Lebanon thread, too.

The two gunmen were also killed in the assault at the Merkaz Harav seminary, Zaka said. But Israel Radio said one of the attackers may have escaped. (REUTERS/Ronen Zvulun)

Charles Johnson and Haaretz has an initial report:

At least seven students were killed and six others were wounded Thursday evening when terrorists infiltrated the Merkaz Harav yeshiva in the Kiryat Moshe neighborhood in Jerusalem, police said.

Three of the injured were listed as being in very serious condition and taken to Hadassah Medical Center in Ein Karem, while the other four were taken to Sha'arei Tzedek Medical Center in the capital. MDA declared the incident a "multiple casualty event."
Jewish Telegraphic Agency reported that 7 are now confirmed dead in the attacks.

Al-Bawaba in Jordan- 8 are dead.

YNET reported that the terrorists opened fire in a packed dining hall:

Two terrorists infiltrated a rabbinical seminary at the entrance of Jerusalem and opened fire after nightfall Thursday, police said. The ZAKA emergency response service has confirmed at least eight people have been killed in addition to one of the terrorists.

Ambulances raced to the scene from around the city and paramedics confirmed numerous additional casualties. The gunmen entered a dining hall where about 80 people were gathered, witnesses said, and opened fire.

Paramedics said they treated six additional people for injuries among them four in serious-to-critical condition.

Yitzhak Dadon, a student, said he was armed with a rifle and waited on the roof of a nearby building. ''He came out of the library spraying automatic fire ... the terrorist came to the entrance and I shot him twice in the head,'' he said.
Carl in Jerusalem is blogging on the attack.
Carl's relative at the school is OK.

Hamas 'blesses' terror attack at Jerusalem seminary

Hamas stopped just short of claiming responsibility for a terror attack which has reportedly left eight people dead on Thursday night at a Jerusalem seminary. "We bless the (Jerusalem) operation. It will not be the last," Hamas said in a statement.

In Gaza City, residents went out into the streets and fired rifles in celebration in the air after hearing news of the attack.
