I know what you mean. I guess what Im getting at is at least FDR recognized the temporary nature of the Works jobs and thats a distinction Obama avoids when he talks about building an economy from the ground up via his jobs plans. He's thinking forever Federal Funding obviously.
Another point. FDR had the benefit of true "shovel ready" projects which sets him apart from Obama and his fantasy about any right now stuff.
So we need to wonder about the depth of Obama's reasoning verses that of FDR. At least FDR had ammo to back up his plans.
And as ideology? I cant say I wouldnt have done about what FDR did given the situatuin he faced. Its the notion of "temporary" that make his WPA stuff attractive verses the "forever" nature of Obama's non plans.
