I wonder if I spread that Arctic Silver correctly... Hmmm... that Tuniq Tower is a PAIN to install, so I hesitate to go back and try again. Is this kind of temp spread normal? When installing the TT 120, how compressed to I make the little springs? The directions said to NOT OVERTIGHTEN THE SCREWS!!!! ... or assumedly Gordon Brown will make another speech or something drastic like that. But I sure want to crank those things down another notch; even if it's only the top two screws.
It that with your case closed?

    Here's my temps @ 3ghz

    63c
    61c
    57c
    58c

With the side panel on or off the temps stay pretty much the same

Yeah, that's with the case closed. I took off the side panel, they dropped 3C across the board. (need a new exhaust fan!)

I pressed 'down' on the top of the CPU cooler, and the temps dropped another 2C on cores #0 and #1... Hmmm....

No, it is genuine, just not mine. Was some guy over at extreme forums - he posted that G0 at 4GHz (not stable) with AIR cooling

No way you'd get 4GHz stable under load on air cooling though

If I can get my room temp down to 16C I'm gonna go for a 4GHz post just to grab a screenshot

I reseated my Thermalright U120 extreme while the MB was still in the case.

I'm still surprise I managed to get the darn thing back on properly

That's one of the reasons mine is still on the test bench. I don't think I could even begin to remove or install my SI-128 while it's in a case.

    Good one Fluff.

Overclocking a MAC? I doubt Apple would allow that, I looked around and found some people asking, But so far Apple is in the Business of selling their MACs, So I'd think they'd want You to buy a faster MAC instead. So No I doubt It.

Don't get me wrong, Joker... I've had my current rig overclocked for years. That's the problem, really... years....

    An XP-M 3000 with a 15% OC is... still just an XP-M!!

    BOINC Benchie:

    1853 FP MIPS
    3119 Int MIPS

BTW, finally got some SETI WU's... I went from a 3.5 hour WU to 29 minutes... times four...

From 12 hours to two for the El-Monstro units.
