I've got about 32 WUs left in my cache, so that's just shy of 17 hours... we'll see how this goes.

But 300 is a danm sight better than 75 'nStuff!
You shouldn't hit your limit with 75wu per core

Today I`m picking up another CoolerMaster Mystique 632 case, LG 18 X DVD-RW, and a few hard drives. Also this morning I`m ordering a Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme, and a Sycthe S-FLEX 120mm fan. My order is already shipped. This includes a Q6600, P5K Deluxe WiFi, 2GB Corsair 6400C4 kit, and a PC Power & Cooling Silencer 750 Quad. So early next week I`ll be bringing a second quad online.

Today I picked up the DVD-RW, case, and 3 X 500 GB 16mb Sata Seagates. So now my arrangement is going to be this:

    My rig - Q6600 with 1.5 TB(3 X 500 GB Seagates) of storage.
    Wife`s rig - Q6600 with 640 GB(2 X 320 GB Seagates) of storage.
Spare rig - 3800 dual core with 324 GB(74 GB Raptor and 250 GB WD) of storage.

What do you think? 2.464 TB of total storage.

Re: The Pond Quad Core Thread

This quad will be a slow build as my parts are coming from several places(Toronto, Vancouver, etc.). Some as late as next Friday(free ground shipping). This will be my main rig. Just trying to decide if it should have the ATI X1950 Pro, or the ATI HD 2600 XT. Anybody have an idea of which card would be better?

Re: The Pond Quad Core Thread

I picked up the Quad today. I've got it assembled and am installing XP Pro for a bench test over the weekend. I really like this rig! Overclocking seems to have gone smoothly. It is currently running at 3.4g (9*378) with a no load temp of 34c. This mainboard allows to overclock only the CPU without a lot of the hassles. The test rig has:

    ASROCK 4CORE1333-FULLHD
    Q6600 Quad @ 3.4
    Corsair XMS2 DDR2-800 2 x 1GB
    Seagate 160gb Sata drive
    Pioneer DVD rom
    Standard 300w ATX power supply

If I can figure out how, I'll post a pic of the bench test.

Nice oc!!! What cooler are you using to keep the temps so low?

On mine I`m running 55c on full load with the cooler in my system stats.

I'd go for the HD 2600 XT in your main box, newer card, fully supports DX10 and full 1080p HD playback.
