    Best quote from the article:

"I'm still not sure about the MP3 generation. You can have a full hard drive and nothing to show for it. Record collections are very personal. You can view into a person's soul really," he says.

Someday, when my ship comes in, I'm going to frame my album covers and hang them for display in my music room. Nothing trite like Santana's Black Magic Woman or Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon, but instead, my top pick of favs will be:

"It's a Beautiful Day", followed by Joan Baez /5 and then some yet undecided Bob Marley album, then Jimi Hendrix "Crash Landing" and finally Malo - which I am sure I bought only for the cover art ;-)

Oy, the stories those covers tell.....................

Yeah...I know. If only some covers could talk and pass on what they have seen....Moody Blues. I squirm.

Ahhhh the awesome sound of vynil. I dont understand the mp3 generation myself...although I do own quite a few CDs. Most of my discs only see the player once to get ripped into FLAC, then they never see a CD player again. IMO classic rock and classical music sound the best on vynil.

LOL !! IIRC 'twas all my gf's at the time who owned the Moody albums, and as I was (and still am) such a cheap basterd, I never bought any - much to my regret today :-(

I believe it was the Nights in White Satin album that was soooo unique? Wait - On the Threshhold of a Dream? Nah - too sinister. ;-)

Ohhh the thought of them makes me want to run out and buy a Melotron (which they had to use for live concerts /as opposed to hiring a full orchestra). Have you seen what they go for now on eBay??? Whew!
